Akhilesh Yadav Taunts BJP in Lok Sabha – Amit Shah’s Fiery Comeback Shuts Him Down!
New Delhi: A heated debate unfolded in the Lok Sabha during discussions on the Waqf Amendment Bill when Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav took a swipe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the delay in appointing its new national president.
“A party that claims to be the largest in the world is yet to elect its own national president,” Akhilesh Yadav remarked.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah responded with a counterattack, taking aim at dynastic politics.
“Akhilesh Ji made his comment with a smile, so I will respond in the same spirit. The parties seated across from us in this House have their national presidents selected from just a handful of family members. In contrast, our party follows a process involving 12-13 crore members, which naturally takes time. Your party doesn’t face this issue,” Shah stated.

JP Nadda initially assumed the role of BJP’s acting national president on June 17, 2019, following the Lok Sabha elections. He was officially elected as the party’s 11th national president on January 20, 2020, and has been in the position since then.
