Karnataka to Get South India’s Leading Robotic Cardiac Surgery & Training Center, Thanks to Dr. Sudhir Srivastava

New Delhi: In a major push to bring cutting-edge surgical care to underserved communities, Dr. Sudhir Prem Srivastava, the founding chairman of SS Innovations Group, has signed a landmark MoU with the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR) in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka.

The agreement includes the donation and deployment of the SSI Mantra Surgical Robotic System—India’s first indigenously developed robotic surgery platform. With this move, SMSIMSR is set to become South India’s premier center for robotic cardiac surgery and multi-specialty surgical training.

At the MoU signing held in Gurugram, spiritual leader Shri Sadguru Madhusudan Sai was present to mark the beginning of what both sides called a transformative healthcare initiative.

Here’s what the collaboration brings:

  • 100 free robotic surgeries supported by Dr. Srivastava himself

  • Full maintenance of the robotic system for five years

  • World-class training programs in cardiac, thoracic, urology, pediatric, and head & neck surgery

  • A push to make robotic surgery accessible to patients regardless of financial background

The goal? Build a future where world-class surgical care isn’t reserved for the elite, but made available to all—especially those in rural or under-resourced areas.

Dr. Srivastava, who also serves as Founder, Chairman, and CEO of SS Innovations International Inc., called the partnership “a step toward transforming surgical care in India with compassion and purpose.”

Speaking on the vision, Shri Sadguru Madhusudan Sai added, “This isn’t just about technology—it’s about dignity in healthcare. Dr. Srivastava’s role as an Honorary Professor at SMSIMSR will guide our journey to truly inclusive medicine.”

The broader mission is rooted in equity, education, and innovation—uniting philanthropy and medical advancement to reshape how India delivers advanced surgical solutions.
