FinX and Franklin Templeton Open Registrations for Season 2 of National Mutual Fund Olympiad
If you are a college student in India looking to test your financial smarts, a massive opportunity just opened up. FinX has officially launched Season 2 of the Franklin Templeton National Mutual Fund Olympiad for 2026.
This time around, investment platform Groww is on board as the knowledge partner, and the initiative is backed by the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India and FPA Edutech.
The goal? To take financial literacy way beyond the usual textbook definitions and help young people actually understand how wealth creation works.
What is the Olympiad All About?
After a highly successful first edition that drew in over 10,000 students from 400 colleges, the organizers are dreaming much bigger this year. Season 2 aims to reach 50,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across 1,000 colleges nationwide.
The competition itself is structured into multiple levels. Instead of just memorizing facts, participants will face challenges that test their practical understanding of:

Top-tier institutions are already locking in their spots. Students from premier campuses like IIM Bangalore, IIM Indore, IIT Kharagpur, DTU, and Lady Shri Ram College are already lined up to compete.

Avinash Satwalekar, President of Franklin Templeton Asset Management India, noted that the massive response to the first edition proved young Indians want practical financial knowledge. He emphasized that financial literacy is a critical life skill, and this competition gives students the confidence to make smart financial decisions early in life.
Himanshu Vyapak, MD and CEO of FinX, shared a similar vision for the scale of Season 2. He highlighted that the Olympiad bridges the gap between college classrooms and the real financial industry, helping to build a financially aware generation ready for India’s growing economy.
