Diljit Dosanjh Clears Air on Concert Protester Removal in Khalistan Controversy
Diljit Dosanjh just set the record straight on why security kicked out protesters from his concert during that ongoing Khalistan row. In a straightforward Punjabi post, he made it clear: sure, peaceful protests outside the venue are fine, anyone’s right. But if folks start harassing fans or stirring up trouble inside, that’s where he draws the line.
He pointed out how people often show up with banners or flags to rep their roots or show support. No issue there. The real problem? When someone uses those to intimidate concertgoers or create chaos. Diljit said he told his team upfront to handle anyone trying to disrupt the show. And get this: the drama isn’t about any flag or banner itself, but the intent behind the actions. He flat-out denied ever speaking against them and called out people pushing “fake narratives” claiming otherwise.
Diljit held off on commenting publicly since last year, but now he had to speak up. “I never said anything against any banner,” he wrote. He wrapped it with thanks to fans and a simple call for love and peace.
How the Whole Thing Started
It all kicked off back in October 2025 on Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17. Diljit touched Amitabh Bachchan’s feet as respect, and Big B called him “Punjab da puttar” for his flood relief work. Nice moment, right?
Then the pro-Khalistan group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) jumped in. Their leader, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, slammed Diljit for honoring Bachchan, linking it to old 1984 anti-Sikh riots allegations against the host (which Bachchan has denied). SFJ even threatened to crash his concerts.
Diljit stayed cool, pushing unity with lines like “Ik Onkar” from Sikh teachings. He said the world is one family, and he’s all about spreading love through his music, no hate for anyone.
