Deepika Padukone slams paparazzi for posting Sushant Singh Rajput’s video without family’s approval

Mumbai: Deepika Padukone, who is known for her outspoken behaviour in the Hindi film industry, lambasted a Bollywood paparazzo for posting videos of Sushant Singh Rajput, who committed suicide recently, on his Instagram handle.

In the video, Sushant’s body is being taken from the hospital to the crematorium. He captioned the video, “Please note my images and videos cannot be posted on any platforms without my written consent.”

An angry Deepika replied in the comments section, “Right. But it is OK for you to take this video and not only post it but also probably monetise it without his or his family’s written consent?”

Deepika, who was a part of a special dance number in Sushant’s 2017-release “Raabta”, has been talking about the need for people to “reach out” in a bid to fight with depression. She said that it was very important to talk to someone, communicate and seek help.

“As a person who has had a lived experience with mental illness, I cannot stress enough about the importance of reaching out. Talk. Communicate. Express. Seek help. Remember, you are not alone. We are in this together. And most importantly, there is Hope,” she wrote in the post.
