Sara Ali Khan Talks Money, Luxury, and Her Chanel Bag Dream
Mumbai: Sara Ali Khan recently shared her thoughts on financial management and luxury spending at the Times Now Summit 2025, co-presented by Dream Sports and powered by Pernod Ricard India. She emphasized her mindful approach to money, balancing savings with occasional indulgences.
“I’m careful about where I spend and don’t believe in splurging unnecessarily. However, I do think treating yourself once in a while is fine. Travel is something I love, so I make sure to save for it. I don’t buy luxury items just for status, but if something is both useful and luxurious, it makes sense to me,” she shared.
While Sara doesn’t own a Hermès bag, she often borrows one from her mother, Amrita Singh. However, she hopes to purchase a Chanel bag in the future. “If someone prefers affordable fashion like Zara, that’s great too. I don’t judge—if you can afford luxury and enjoy it, why not?” she added.
Mom Manages Her Finances
Sara also revealed that her mother takes full charge of her finances. “I believe in spreading investments across different areas. My mom handles all my money, and even my GPay account is linked to her. My OTPs go to her phone, and I have to call for approvals!”
She shared that she invests in real estate, the stock market, and gold, ensuring her wealth is managed wisely. “These are smart investments that help build financial security,” she noted.
Her practical yet aspirational approach to money reflects a balance between financial responsibility and enjoying life’s little luxuries.
