Old Monk – We bet you didn’t know how many tasty cocktail you could make with it!

Mumbai: As everyone of us is stuck at home and do not want to risk our lives by stepping out due to Coronavirus spread across the world, here we have gathered some cocktail ideas to help you enjoy your favourite Old Monk even more.

Have a look at the interesting and extremely soothing recipes you will enjoy a lot –

Rum Sling:
-30ml Bacardi
-30ml Old Monk
-5 to 6 Fresh Oranges
-60ml Orange Juice
-15ml Lime Juice
Mix all ingredients with ice. Stir and pour into a chilled glass. Garnish with a fresh orange slice.

Bombay Gulabo:
-45ml Old Monk
-½ Fresh orange chunks
-30ml Rose syrup/ Roohafza
-20ml Fresh lime juice
-Handful of mint leaves
-Pinch of jal-jeera
-Splash of soda
-Orange wedge and mint spring
Take a tall glass, add all of the ingredients and mix well, garnish with an orange wedge and mint spring.

Rum Barrel:
-90ml Old Monk
-30ml sugar syrup
-120ml mango juice (chilled)
-60ml pineapple juice (chilled)
-15 – 20ml lemon juice
-15ml grenadine or cranberry juice
-Splash of soda (Chilled)

Add the juices, sugar syrup and rum. Splash some chilled soda, mix well before serving

Rum Punch:
-1 ½ cups Old Monk
-½ cup sugar syrup
-4 cups mango juice (chilled)
-3 cups pineapple juice (chilled)
-1/3 cup lemon juice
-¼ grenadine (or cranberry juice)
-3 cups soda (chilled)
Combine all the ingredients, except soda, in a large bowl and mix well. Add soda and stir again. Serve with ice. This recipe is designed to serve 12 party guests, so adjust the quantities accordingly.

Hurricane:
-90 ml Old Monk
-60 ml passion fruit juice
-30 ml orange juice
-30 ml lime juice
-15 ml grenadine (or cranberry juice)
-15 ml sugar syrup
This New Orleans special is super easy to make. Just fill half a shaker with ice and add all the ingredients. Shake well and strain into a glass.

Guava Colada:
-40 ml Old Monk
-90 ml guava juice
-30 ml coconut cream
-1 cup crushed ice
This play on a beloved classic is super easy to make. Just mix the ingredients in a blender until it becomes smooth, and you’re done.

Painkiller:
-60 ml Old Monk
-30 ml coconut cream
-120 ml pineapple juice
-30 ml orange juice
-Nutmeg powder
Pour the rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice and orange juice into a shaker and shake well. Strain into a glass, add ice and sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg powder on top. If you wanna impress your friends even more, you can garnish it with a slice of fruit.

Bat Bite:
-40 ml Old Monk
-120 ml cranberry juice
This is basically a rum and coke, but with cranberry juice. It may be no-frills, but once you try it, it’s all you’ll be drinking all night.

Hot Chocolate rum:
-30 ml Old Monk
-150 ml hot cocoa
-1 tbsp whipped cream
-1 tsp sugar
If chill vibes are what you want for your party, this is the drink for you. Combine the rum and cocoa in a coffee cup and add sugar to taste. Add whipped cream on top and voila.

Dark And Stormy:
-40 ml Old Monk
-15 ml lemon juice
-15 ml orange juice
-½ tsp sugar
Mix the ingredients in a shaker and strain into a chilled glass. You can garnish with a lemon slice, but if you’re too lazy, the drink tastes yum even without it.
