Noida: India is place of various cultures, traditions and dishes. Each and every state of the country has some dishes whose taste can never be ignored.

If one visits the state, he could not stop himself to taste that particular famous dish of that place. So, here we bring you some mouth-watering dishes that you will definitely try once.

 

Masor Tenga (Sour Fish Curry)
Ot is the famous dish of Assam. This is a flavorful tangy fish curry from the North-Eastern part of India. The flavors here are fresh and subtle. Spices used are minimum.

 

Jadoh
It is a rice and meat-based Khasi delicacy from Meghalaya.

Thukpa
Thukpa is a Tibetan noodle soup, which originated in the eastern part of Tibet and eastern and northern part of Nepal. Thukpa has been described as a “generic Tibetan word for any soup or stew combined with noodles

Pork with bamboo shoot

It is one of the famous dishes of Assam. bamboo shoots are the edible shoots (the new bamboo clums that come out of the ground) of many bamboo species.

Chikhvi
Chikhvi is the typical dish of Tripura made of bamboo shoots and pork. Chikhvi is cooked without oil, hence, is very healthy. Raw papaya and fresh lime leaves imparts a unique flavor to the Chikhvi.

Poitabhat
Poitabhat or panta bhat is rice-based dish prepared by soaking rice, generally leftover, in water overnight. Traditionally served in the morning with salt, onion and chili. It is consumed in Bangladesh and the eastern Indian states of West Bengal, Assam, Tripura and Kishanganj, Bihar.

Sana Thongba
It is a famous manipuri dish. This recipe is a celebration of milk! The sana, which is the main ingredient, is a milk product and the gravy is heavily milk.

Eromba

Eromba is an ethnic cuisine of the Meitei community of Manipur. It is a type of chutney made with boiled vegetables mashed with Chili (King chili) and fermented fish.

Sanpiau
One of the popular dishes from Mizoram is Sanpiau. It is a popular snack that is served on the road side stalls and homes. The dish is prepared with rice porridge and it is served with coriander paste, onion, black pepper, fish sauce and powdered rice.

Khar
It is the unique dish from Assam. A traditional Assamese meal always begins with a ‘khar’ with some rice. The ingredient is made by drying and burning the skins of banana(to get the ashes), preferably a variety called bheem kol.

Pitha

It is a popular cuisine of Bihar. Pithas are either stuffed with sweet or spicy filling. There are different varieties of Pithas. Bihari Dal Pitha is prepared using fresh rice flour and spicy masala lentil filling.

 

Thoiding Asuba

It is one of the famous dishes of Manipur. It is a powerhouse of organic minerals, especially calcium, and is an alkaline food that supports bone and general health.

Nakam Bitchi

One of the famous dishes of Meghalaya is a delicious soup which is taken mainly after a heavy spicy meal.The recipe known as the Nakham Bitchi of Meghalaya is a delectable soup which is very popular among them. The Meghalayan people always serve their guests with this special soup.

Beef Singju

Singju is a Manipur salad-type dish. It is all time favourite side dishes for meals.

Channa Kanghou
Chana Manipuri (Kanghou) is a traditional Manipuri dish, which is served as a snack. This is a very popular street snack in Manipur. his recipe is prepared with quite less spices.

Alu Muri
It is the famous snack of Shillong. It was an outcome of the mix of cut boiled potato pieces, tamarind juice, muri (puffed rice), shredded radish, onion, red powdered chilly, and a particular black masala which delivers the distinct taste of the snack.
