As the summer heat continues to rise, television star Swati Shah, known for her role as Jagdamba Devi in Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri on Sun Neo, is choosing health and hydration over sugary soft drinks. With soaring temperatures making hydration essential, Swati opens up about her natural, energy-boosting summer routine that keeps her cool on and off set.
Swati shares, “I always carry more than six bottles of water on set, infused with mint leaves and sometimes chia or sabja (basil) seeds. These ingredients add a refreshing twist, making it easier and tastier to stay hydrated. Mint and chia have a natural cooling effect, which helps beat the heat while also reducing unnecessary hunger pangs.”
Her hydration habit isn’t just about water. Swati also swears by her year-round favorite — chaas (buttermilk). “Being a Gujarati, chaas is a staple in my diet for almost nine months of the year. I like to spice it up with boondi, mint, coriander, and black salt—it’s delicious and super cooling,” she says.
Swati also had a message for her younger fans. “Many youngsters grab cold drinks to cool down, but those only offer short-term relief and often leave you feeling more tired. Natural drinks like coconut water, and fruits like watermelon and oranges, are far better for hydration and energy. Your body will thank you!”
Swati’s advice is clear—ditch the fizzy drinks and turn to nature’s remedies for a healthier, cooler summer.
