Saloni Batra Opens Up About Playing Megha in Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery – “It Was About Honouring a Real Life”
Amazon MX Player’s new paranormal thriller, Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery, dives deep into the life and mysterious death of India’s first paranormal investigator, Gaurav Tiwari. The intriguing series, now streaming for free, stars Karan Tacker, Kalki Koechlin and Saloni Batra in pivotal roles.
While Tacker portrays the late Gaurav Tiwari with gripping realism and Koechlin leads the investigation as Irene, it’s Saloni Batra’s character, Megha, that grounds the story in emotion and humanity.
Sharing what attracted her to the role, Saloni said, “In a story filled with the supernatural, Megha represents emotional truth—love, loss, and belief. What fascinated me most was her evolution from believer to partner and then to someone coping with everything left behind.”
Reflecting on the real-life inspiration behind the series, Batra added, “It wasn’t just about playing a role; it was about paying tribute to someone’s lived experience. Megha’s connection with the unseen world made it both personal and powerful.”
Speaking about her on-screen dynamics, Saloni also praised her co-star Karan Tacker: “Our chemistry felt natural. Karan is very present as an actor, and that trust off-screen helped us build real emotion on-screen.”
Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery is now available to stream for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player via the MX Player app, Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Airtel Xstream.
