Benny Greb’s Epic Drums Are Hitting India – Don’t Miss Jazz India Circuit 2026!
India’s jazz scene is heating up. The Jazz India Circuit returns for its 9th edition, hitting Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi from February 4 to 8, 2026. Organized by Teamwork Arts, this three-city tour brings top international talent right to your doorstep. If you love live music that pushes boundaries, this is your chance to catch contemporary jazz at its best.
Meet the Headline Acts
Leading the pack is Germany’s Benny Greb Brass Band. Benny Greb ranks among the top 30 drummers of the 21st century, per Batterie magazine. His band Moving Parts snagged an Echo Jazz Award, and he just guested with the Buddy Rich Big Band. Expect funky jazz grooves with killer energy and precision – it’s the kind of show that gets crowds moving.

Next up, Italy’s Federica Colangelo Trio, starring pianist Federica Colangelo. Her project mixes jazz composition, improv, and South Indian Carnatic rhythms into something fresh. This time, they’ve teamed with percussionist B.C. Manjunath on their “Forward” set, diving deep into rhythms that blend worlds.
Rounding it out is Interstellar from the Netherlands – drummer Joost Lijbaart and guitarist Bram Stadhouders. These guys have played 300+ shows across five continents, fusing tribal beats, jazz, electronics, and improv. Think trance-like vibes inspired by Miles Davis’s Bitches Brew, but with a cosmic twist.
Avik Roy, the festival producer, puts it simply: this lineup shows jazz’s global mix today, from brass funk to Indian-influenced rhythms. “It’s live jazz as it should be – full of surprises,” he says.
