Holy Ghost Set to Haunt Indian Screens: Supernatural Thriller Promises Chills and Shocks from August 8

A chilling mystery, a long-dead cop, and a town gripped by fear — Holy Ghost is coming to theatres in India on August 8, and it’s not pulling any punches.
Written and directed by Shravan Tiwari, this supernatural thriller has already made waves in private screenings and is being hailed as a breakout film in the horror-mystery space. Shot entirely in the United States, Holy Ghost takes a deep dive into classic horror territory with a modern, emotional twist.
The film follows the unsettling case of Grace Brown, a kidnapped girl who’s found alive in a remote American town. But here’s the twist — she says she was rescued by Jim Wheeler, a police officer who died years ago. That single revelation sets off a series of paranormal events that pull Detective Madison Wells into a dangerous investigation filled with secrets, unsolved murders, and eerie connections to the other side.
The cast includes Jenn Osborne, Cleve Langdale, Maya Adler, David Tiefen, Daniel S. Carlan, and Aaron Blomberg. The atmospheric cinematography by Jamaal Scott, paired with a haunting score by Ray, builds an immersive horror experience that sticks with you.
Backed by SRHP Films and produced by Sandip Patel, Holy Ghost is positioned to scare smart — leaning into dread, emotion, and mystery rather than cheap thrills. “This film is a gift to horror fans across the world,” said Patel. “I’m proud to bring it to audiences in the West, Asia, and now India.”
Director Shravan Tiwari adds, “I wanted Holy Ghost to be a film that creeps under your skin. Where the fear is real and the secrets are suffocating.”
If you’re a fan of slow-burn suspense, ghost stories, or just love a solid mystery, this one’s worth watching in a dark cinema with no escape.
