Karan Johar’s Dharma Makes a Big Move: DCA Reborn as Dharma Collab Artists Agency

Dharma Productions has taken full control of its talent management arm by acquiring Cornerstone’s stake in Dharma Cornerstone Agency, marking a major shift in its artist representation strategy. The venture has now been relaunched as Dharma Collab Artists Agency or DCAA, with a broader vision that goes well beyond films.

The newly branded agency will focus on representing and building talent across film, music, sports, digital platforms, live events, and culture-driven projects. With this move, DCAA becomes Dharma Productions’ exclusive platform for artist management and career development.

Leadership remains unchanged as Uday Singh Gauri continues as Chief Executive Officer, while senior film journalist and industry insider Rajeev Masand stays on as Chief Operating Officer. The continuity signals stability as the agency enters its next growth phase. Gauri, who brings over two decades of experience across talent management, music, live entertainment, and strategic partnerships, is expected to drive expansion into new verticals and unlock cross-industry opportunities for artists.

The relaunch aligns with Dharma Productions’ larger ambition to evolve into a cultural powerhouse that supports creative talent across multiple formats, not just cinema. The company sees DCAA as a long-term ecosystem designed to nurture influence, creativity, and sustainable careers.

Commenting on the development, Dharma Productions CEO Apoorva Mehta said that talent has always been central to the company’s identity. He noted that DCAA represents a structured and future-facing platform aimed at supporting artists across disciplines, reinforcing Dharma’s growing role in India’s creative economy.

Uday Singh Gauri added that modern artist representation demands more than contracts and visibility. According to him, the agency’s focus is on building long-term careers by combining cultural insight, business strategy, and collaboration across platforms, allowing talent to grow with the industry rather than chase it.

Dharma Collab Artists Agency currently represents a carefully curated roster of prominent and emerging voices across entertainment and digital culture. The list includes Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Disha Patani, Rasha Thadani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Harshvardhan Rane, Lakshya, Rohit Saraf, Neeti Mohan, Jonita Gandhi, Orry, Sumukhi Suresh, Anahita Shroff, Kareema Barry, Erika Packard and several others.

With DCAA, Dharma Productions is clearly betting on a future where talent moves fluidly across industries, and where representation is as much about vision and strategy as it is about deals.
