BizDateUp and actors Taher Shabbir and Ashutosh Shah take a 25% stake in Dent@Home
BizDateUp has invested in Dent@Home, taking a 25% stake in the startup alongside actor Taher Shabbir and filmmaker-producer Ashutosh Shah. Dent@Home, which recently appeared on Shark Tank India Season 5, provides portable dental care for patients who cannot visit clinics-hospital patients, homebound people, the elderly, and those with limited mobility.
The funding will help Dent@Home scale its bedside dental model across India, expand its service network, and improve the patient experience. The company offers emergency and critical dental services at homes and hospital beds, focusing on dignity, safety, and clinical quality for patients who need care where they are.
Jyotir Jain, Director at BizDateUp Group, said the investment reflects a belief in practical, scalable solutions that remove barriers to care. Taher Shabbir and Ashutosh Shah said they backed Dent@Home because it solves a clear problem: making quality dental care accessible regardless of age or mobility. They highlighted the startup’s patient-centered approach and long-term growth potential.
Dr. Prachi Deval, Founder and Director of Dent@Home, called the partnership an important step toward reaching more patients and strengthening the company’s service capabilities. The deal comes as demand for home-based healthcare grows in India, driven by an aging population and the need for more convenient care options.
The partners plan to use the investment to expand into key markets and accelerate adoption of technology-enabled, patient-focused dental services, aiming to improve access in both established and underserved areas.
