Ultra Media Bags Two Big Wins at Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2026 – Marathi Hits Shine Bright!
Ultra Media & Entertainment Group just scored two solid honors at the 16th Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Awards in April 2026. If you’re into Indian cinema, you know these awards honor top storytelling, timed right around the birthday of Dadasaheb Phalke, the guy who kicked off it all.
First up, their Marathi web series Khotachi Wadi nabbed the Best Director – Jury Award. Directed by Rajesh Chavan and produced by Ultra, it dropped on Ultra Jhakaas OTT back in January 2026. The show’s gripping narrative and sharp direction stood out, with stars like Suhas Joshi, Saaniya Chaudhari, Kashyap Parulekar, and Abheney Saawant bringing it to life.
They didn’t stop there. The Marathi film Better Half Chi Love Story earned a Special Festival Mention Certificate, spotlighting producer Rajat Agrawal. Released in theaters last August 2025, it features Subodh Bhave, Rinku Rajguru, and Prarthana Behere. It’s another gem in Ultra’s lineup of varied stories.
