Noida: Luxury automobile major Mercedes-Benz on Wednesday launched it’s Mercedes Maybach S 650 and teased its E-Class All-Terrain model for its upcoming India debut.
The company also launched its Made-in-India BS-VI Mercedes Maybach S 560 to continue Maybach’s popularity in India.
The German auto giant termed Maybach S 650 as “mahal on wheels”. CEO and MD of Mercedes Roland Folger said that India was the only country outside Germany to get this car.
The company will sell two versions of the model, S 650 priced at Rs 2.73 crore and S 560 at Rs 1.94 crore.
The biggest S-class car by Mercedes, the luxurious Maybach S 650 is also seeing its venture into India for the first time at the Expo. The car sports a massive 6-litre V12 engine which produces 1000 Nm torque. The engine is Bharat VI fuel complaint. Folger claimed that Maybach S 650 is the first one to do so.
The company also unveiled the Bharat VI stage complaint engine L6 which is capable of producing 286 hp power and 600 Nm torque. This engine can zoom to 100 in just 6 seconds.
The luxury car brand also showcased it futuristic electric vehicle “EQ concept”.
The company made the announcement at the pre-open event of the 14th Auto Expo.
